মিরসরাই সদরস্থ মারুফ মডেল উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ে বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতা সম্পন্ন হয়েছে। এতে প্রধান অতিথি হিসাবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মিরসরাইয়ের উপজেলা চেয়ারম্যান মো. জসিম উদ্দিন। সোমবার (১৫ জুলাই) বিদ্যালয় অডিটরিয়ামে দুপুর ২টা থেকে প্রতিযোগিতা শুরু হয়। সভাপতিত্ব করেন বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক মো.নাজিম উদ্দিন। বিতর্কের বিষয় ছিলো, সামাজিক সচেতনতাই দূর্নীতি দমন করতে পারে।
এ সময় বিশেষ অতিথি হিসাবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন, দুর্গাপুর ইউনিয়নের সাবেক চেয়ারম্যান সাইফুল ইসলাম খোকা, সাংবাদিক শারফুদ্দীন কাশ্মীর, বিশ্বদরবার উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক মো. আব্দুল্লাহ, মুক্তিযোদ্ধা মো. মোক্তার আহম্মদ এবং বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক, শিক্ষার্থীরাও উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
প্রধান অতিথি জসিম উদ্দিন তার বক্তব্যে বলেন, মারুফ স্কুলের শিক্ষার্থীরা বিতর্ক প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নিয়ে পান্ডিত্যের পরিচয় দিয়েছেন। তারা খুব সুন্দর করে বিতর্কের বিষয়টি বিশ্লেষণ করেছেন। তিনি বলেন, সমাজের সকল স্তরে সচেতনতা সৃষ্টি করতে হবে দূর্নীতির বিরুদ্ধে।
জসিম উদ্দিন আরো বলেন, বিদ্যালয়ে কোন শিক্ষার্থী মোবাইল ফোন আনতে পারবেনা। মোবাইল ফোনের ভালো এবং খারাপ দিকগুলো তিনি বিশদ আলোচনা করেন। তিনি বলেন, মাধ্যমিক পর্যায়ের শিক্ষক এবং পরিচালনা পরিষদের সভাপতিদের নিয়ে একটি মতবিনিময় করে কিছু নির্দেশনা দেয়া হয়েছে।
এবার প্রাথমিক পর্যায়ের শিক্ষকদের সাথে মতবিনিময় করা হবে। সেখানেও কিছু নির্দেশনা দেয়া হবে। মারুফ স্কুল কর্তৃপক্ষের দাবির প্রেক্ষিতে জসিম উদ্দিন বলেন, মারুফ স্কুলের মাঠ ভরাটের জন্য অর্থ বরাদ্ধ দেয়া হবে। তিনি মারুফ স্কুলের ফলাফলের প্রসংশা করেন।
ক এবং খ বিভাগে মোট ১৬ জন প্রতিযোগি অংশ নেয়। ক বিভাগে বিজয়ী হয় পক্ষ দল। এ দলের প্রতিযোগিরা হলেন, ইফতিসা ইমরোজ মিথিলা (সপ্তম শ্রেণি), কাজী সুবাহা তাবাসসুম (সপ্তম শ্রেণি), জেসিনা আক্তার তিশা (অস্টম শ্রেণি), তাজনোভা সুলতানা প্রমি (অস্টম শ্রেণি)। খ বিভাগেও বিজয়ী হয় পক্ষ দল। এ দলের প্রতিযোগিরা হলেন, ইউসরা শারফুদ্দীন (নবম শ্রেণি), মুশফিকা রশিদ জিদনী (দশম শ্রেণি), তাসফিয়া সারা (দশম শ্রেণি), আফিয়া হুমায়রা (নবম শ্রেণি)।
সব শেষে বিজয়ীদের মধ্যে পুরস্কার বিতরন করা হয়।
